The Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been in the headlines due to his controversial actions. Morant has decided to stay away from the team for the next four upcoming games. Things have gotten so out of hand that the Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal has decided to help him out.

Just to be clear, the Lakers legend gave his perspective on how Morant should respond to the allegations against him. Recently, Shaq sat down with Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams for his podcast, ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq.’

To that, pretending to be Morant, Shaq replied by saying, “I would like to apologize to my parents, the fans, all the little kids that was looking up to me. I was stupid. I want you to learn from my mistakes.”

“There is no excuse for what I’ve done. It was stupid. I was in the club with my shirt off, I shouldn’t have even been there, we just lost. I was just stupid. It was something I was doing, I wasn’t thinking. I know the rules, I know the laws. I’m a dummy, I apologize, it won’t ever happen again. Period.”

The NBA world reacts to the Ja Morant accusations

The Memphis Grizzlies are in the third position in the Western Conference with a 38-26 overall record. And Morant is in the center of the team, leading the Grizzlies in points, and assists. Many NBA stars and legends went to social media to react to the news of Morant’s antics as well.
