The Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been in the headlines due to his controversial actions. Morant has decided to stay away from the team for the next four upcoming games. All this started when Morant allegedly flashed a gun appearing on Instagram Live while in a club. Things have gotten so out of hand that the Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal has decided to help him out.
Just to be clear, the Lakers legend gave his perspective on how Morant should respond to the allegations against him. Recently, Shaq sat down with Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams for his podcast, ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq.’

The trio talked about many things going on in the league. Including the new rivalry formed between the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks. The episode also included the hosts talking about Morant’s off-court antics.
Shaq asked Nischelle turner to ask him a question with him in Morant’s place. Turner asked, “Ja did you deliberately pull that gun out? Why did you have the gun on you in the first place? And did you have it on the team plane?”

To that, pretending to be Morant, Shaq replied by saying, “I would like to apologize to my parents, the fans, all the little kids that was looking up to me. I was stupid. I want you to learn from my mistakes.”
“There is no excuse for what I’ve done. It was stupid. I was in the club with my shirt off, I shouldn’t have even been there, we just lost. I was just stupid. It was something I was doing, I wasn’t thinking. I know the rules, I know the laws. I’m a dummy, I apologize, it won’t ever happen again. Period.”
The NBA world reacts to the Ja Morant accusations
The Memphis Grizzlies are in the third position in the Western Conference with a 38-26 overall record. And Morant is in the center of the team, leading the Grizzlies in points, and assists. Many NBA stars and legends went to social media to react to the news of Morant’s antics as well.

Morant was accused of allegedly beating up a teenager and then threatening the victim with a gun. On top of that, there was another firearm-related allegation that led to the ban of Morant’s brother after an Indiana Pacers game.
Let’s hope Ja Morant returns with a fresh perspective after staying away from the team for some time.
