Kobe Bean Bryant was among the greatest Lakers ever and left a legacy that dwarfs every player bar a few. He started his career with the Los Angeles Lakers and was a one-club man. Kobe helped the Lakers win five championships during his career. He had many great rivals but Tim Duncan was the one who was the greatest adversary of his generation.

Spurs then got one back against the Lakers when they eliminated them during the 2003 NBA Playoffs en route to winning the 2003 championship. For five years in a row, either the Spurs or the Lakers won the championship.
For nearly half a decade, the Spurs-Lakers rivalry was the pinnacle of basketball and the de facto finals. It had a dynamic duo in Shaq and Kobe on one side going against a HOF trio in Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili.
