The Eastern Conference Series saw yet another shocker as the Celtics annihilated the Miami Heat. In a one-sided affair, Boston held the top position from the very beginning. They left no breathing room for the Vice City as the Heat rumbled down. Even their most consistent star, Jimmy Butler couldn’t deliver on the big night as the series now stands back on even terms. After his rare failure in the playoffs this season, fans grilled Butler for not showing up.

Miami had all the momentum they could ask for ahead of Game 4. After capturing an important win on the road, they were all set to take on the Celtics with confidence. With a 1-2 lead, the Heat had the upper hand over the Celtics, who were missing the DPOY. Hence, it was all set up well for Miami. However, to everyone’s shock, the Heat shut down completely and allowed Butler just 6 points on the night.

Despite averaging 26.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in the playoffs, fans showed no mercy. They went right after Butler as he failed to make an impact in the pivotal Game 4.

Miami has been one of the best two-way teams in basketball this season. Hence, what the Celtics did tonight made it even more impressive. They restricted the starters to score just 18 of the 82 points the Heat scored. With the bench doing most of the work, Victor Oladipo scored a team-high 23 points to go with 4 rebounds and 6 assists.

Duncan Robinson and Caleb Martin combined for 26 points as the Heat lost by 20 points. Even their hero from the last game, Bam Adebayo, scored only 9 points to lead all the starters.

A Jayson Tatum masterclass ran the show for Boston. He amassed 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists to lead the Celtics in Game 4. Payton Pritchard was on fire off the bench, scoring 14 points on 62% shooting. However, shockingly, the remaining Celtics also struggled to score their points. They shot just 39.8% from the field as a team with most scorers struggling. All in all, it was a sloppy game for both sides, but the Celtics had their big-time player deliver.

Jimmy Butler is known to respond with a bang. The Heat star has led them all the way through and has fallen short in just a couple of games. However, it is unlikely that the superstar will fail again after tonight’s drubbing. The result at the Garden will have awoken him and motivated him to give it his all in Game 5.
