Sneakers are a major source of income for superstar athletes. Legends like LeBron James and Michael Jordan have earned 100s of millions from their sneaker brands. Even Kanye West has been in the sneaker game and has had much success. But how much has the billionaire rapper made compared to LeBron and Jordan?

West’s Yeezy has been on the market for some time now but they weren’t a huge hit until he collaborated with Adidas. He had a deal with Nike but he pulled out of it because they weren’t meeting eye to eye with royalties. Then he reached a deal with Adidas in 2015. A year later, Adidas extended its contract with West.

West’s deal with Adidas gets him a percentage of royalties from the total revenue from the sale of Yeezy shoes. In 2022, Adidas is set to make nearly $1.3 billion from the shoes, and this netted West a total of  $65 Million. And this number is set to rise in the coming years. However, back in 2020, West netted over $190 million from the sale of Yeezys.

Meanwhile, Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan makes a nice tidy sum himself. His collab with Nike allowed him to launch his own brand of sneakers called Jordan. And this was extremely successful and has netted Jordan 100s of millions over the years. In fact, according to reports, Jordan has made over $1.3 billion from the Jordan brand.
