The NBA world couldn’t believe it when Kevin Durant requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets. It all started after Kyrie opted into his final year with Brooklyn. A four-year $194 million extension was set to kick in for the Slim Reaper. However, he shocked everyone and put in his trade request. Many teams have already come up as favorites to acquire the 12-time All-Star. But fans were shocked as his agent was in the same place as Daryl Morey.

In 2016, the Golden State Warriors had fresh wounds of one of the most humiliating defeats in NBA finals history. After taking a 3-1 lead in the series, the Warriors lost to LeBron James and the Cavaliers. In this moment of defeat, they reached out to one man to solve their problems. Kevin Durant became the solution to their problems, and four players even traveled to Hampton to meet the Slim Reaper. That is where he made the league-altering decision of joining the Golden State. And the same story seems to be playing out once again.

NBA fans couldn’t believe their eyes as deja vu struck. KDs’s agent Rich Kleiman was in the same place as Daryl Morey and three other Philly players, which could mean a possible reunion with James Harden is in the works.

Are Kevin Durant and James Harden ready for a third team-up?

Harden and Durant have had quite some history. It all began with their time together in Oklahoma City Thunder. The duo with Russell Westbrook were one of the scariest cores in the league, at the time. However, the Thunder traded Harden away to Houston because they were unable to offer him the big contract. Later, the Beard made the shocking move to Brooklyn by forcing his way out of Houston. The two MVPs once again shared the court in hopes of competing for the title. However, after just one season, Harden left for Philly to join Daryl Morey and Joel Embiid.

Now, with the way things aligned in the Hamptons, KD could be teammates with Harden for the third time in his illustrious career. The two-time NBA champion had his agent Rich Kleiman in the Hamptons at Michael Rubin’s party. This is also the same place James Harden, Joel Embiid, PJ Tucker, and Daryl Morey were all present. With his last move to the Warriors happening in a similar fashion, the Sixers could be making a run in the dark. And if they do somehow pull it off, the league couldn’t possibly prepare for such a dangerous team.

Along with hard-nosed defenders, they have an MVP candidate in Joel Embiid. One of the most dominant forces in the NBA shares the competitive fire of Kevin Durant.
