During the latest episode of Showtime Basketball, former NBA champion Matt Barnes responded to the news surrounding Nike. Notably, Ja Morant is reportedly to come up with his signature shoe line.

Barnes gave a shout-out to Kyrie Irving for developing one of the top-selling sneakers of all time. The former Warriors star said that Irving’s designs really struck a chord with today’s generations. His co-host Jelani McCoy was seen nodding feverishly in agreement.

As per Barnes, if both Morant and the giant apparel company collaborate well, his shoes would also do great numbers. The Brooklyn Nets player Kyrie Irving’s $11 million dollar loss may benefit Morant big time.

“He is the future face of the NBA“, said Barnes as he continued to say Morant’s shoes will be in the top 2 NBA selling shoes. “I have no doubt. So congratulations to Ja Morant!” He also extended his wishes and inspired Morant to “continue to elevate, my brother.”
