LeBron James recently made his first comments on the Brittney Griner situation. His comments were quite controversial to a few people, and some slammed him for being an “Anti- American”. His first comment on the Griner situation came in the promo for the show ‘The Shop’. He later took to social media to clarify that he supports the movement to bring Griner home. Griner is a two-time Olympic medalist and a Phoenix Mercury player in the WNBA. She has been detained in Russia for over the past 100 days. 

Nick Adams, a speaker known to share his views on matters pertaining to the conservative school of thought, took to social media to share his comments on the same topic. He took a rather aggressive stance and said that LeBron James should join Griner in her sentence.

Nick Adams is an avid LeBron James critic. He is known to have many hot takes like the one regarding Brittney Griner. Previously, he has said that James is not a top 15 player of all time and that he has ruined the NBA.

Adam’s harsh comments may come from the fact that LeBron James is not a Donald Trump supporter. James has vocally said he is not a fan of Donald Trump. Now, Nick Adams is not only a supporter of Trump but is also endorsed by him. His stance on any NBA or WNBA-related matter would likely oppose that of LeBron James.

LeBron James retracts his statements on the United States of America

In the latest edition of ‘The Shop’, the Los Angeles Laker star commented on the Brittney Griner situation for the very first time.

LeBron said,” Now, how can she feel like America has her back? I would be feeling like, ‘Do I even want to go back to America?”

Moreover, he later clarified that he was not questioning if Griner should come back to the United States of America. He simply meant that it had been a long journey for her, and it was time for her to come home.

His clarification tweet read, “My comments on “The Shop” regarding Brittney Griner wasn’t knocking our beautiful country. I was simply saying how she’s probably feeling emotionally, along with so many other emotions, thoughts, etc., inside that cage she’s been in for over 100+ days! Long story short #BringHerHome”
