LeBron James is one of the most prominent and beloved athletes on planet earth. Everywhere he goes, media attention follows. He is also the face of the NBA and has been for at least a decade now. Naturally, The King has had some weird fan moments. And had one of them once involved Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

A recently resurfaced article recounts this incident. LeBron was out shopping, and he noticed a fan who was following him. This was nothing new for the King, but what was unique was that the fan was dressed exactly like a young Dwayne Johnson. Joking LeBron had a go at The Rock and in a friendly way. Subsequently, The Rock responded, which led to friendly banter.

LeBron James – The face of the league

Even before coming to the NBA, LeBron was anointed as the “Chosen One”. And quickly became the face of the league with his electric play style and single-handedly carried the Cleveland Cavaliers. Add to that his many endorsements and a personality that everyone loves, including the fans and the opposing players. There was no reason LeBron couldn’t be the face of the league.

James has though backed this up with his on-the-court performances. He has won four NBA League MVP awards to go with four NBA Championships with three different teams.
