When athletes from different backgrounds come together, it takes the world by storm. There have been such instances on quite a few occasions in the NBA. In today’s day, it isn’t uncommon to see this happen. However, an old image of Los Angeles Lakers star Carmelo Anthony and WWE legend John Cena resurfaced and had Twitter going wild.

Melo has been in the league for a long time. Over the years, he has made his name with several organizations and is a celebrity himself. However, while he was a youngster, one of the biggest stars in the world was John Cena. Hence, he didn’t miss a chance to get a photo with the WWE legend.

Back in 2005, Melo was a babyface in the league. He was making his way up after having an impressive rookie season with the Denver Nuggets. During this time, he got the chance to meet up with John Cena and play some pool. All these years later, the resurfacing of the photo has Twitter going in a frenzy.

John Cena is one of the most successful WWE athletes there is. He has won 16-time world titles and was the face of the franchise for a long time. His achievements in the ring are so elusive that they may not be rivaled anytime soon. On the other hand, after 19 years in the league, Melo is hunting for his first championship.
