The stage is all set for the Western Conference semifinal matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns. Both teams have fought hard in this series and are all square after six games. With an all-or-nothing Game 7 ready for action, the Suns need to be scared of Luka Doncic. The young Slovenian has the most insane stat in elimination games surpassing the likes of Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant. However, fans still gave the Dallas All-Star some heat.

Before this series, no one expected much from the Dallas Mavericks. the Suns came in as the number 1 seed team and were on course to reach their second consecutive finals. While the oath looked easy, Luka and the Mavs were not ones to fright away from a challenge. They held their own against the giants and won 3 games on their turf. And now they are feeling confident in Game 7 as Doncic is the most elite weapon in elimination games in the history of the game.

Passing Michael Jordan, LeBron James not enough for Luka Doncic?

As part of the Mavericks, Luka has always been one of the best players in the postseason. He has led the way every single time he has suited up and kept Dallas a competitive side. However, when it comes to elimination games, Doncic goes into a completely different zone. He handles pressure like a piece of cake and surpasses the greatest players in NBA history. Notably, the Mavericks star averages the most points in elimination game history at a staggering 39 points per game. But he has played just 3 such games in his career. Likewise, fans had their complaints.

The next best comes out to be the King who has put up 33.5 points per game. But despite being the best player in the toughest situations, winning hasn’t come to him. And it seems Doncic took this personally as he is torching the Suns with a masterclass performance in Game 7.

Going into a Game 7 against the best team in the NBA was never going to be an easy job. But the Suns have been forced into a corner by the Mavericks. Luka Doncic has entered god mode posting 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists so far. Coming off the bench, Spencer Dinwiddie has kept the Suns from rising compiling 28 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. Jalen Brunson started off slow but has picked things up scoring 24 points in the must-win Game 7. The Mavericks have socked the entire NBA world as they lead by over 40 points against the Suns.

With the lights shining the brightest, the Suns have shrunk as no one saw coming. Even the biggest names are failing to dig them out of the hole as their season is minutes away from coming to an end. One of the most elite backcourts of the regular season,  Devin Booker and Chris Paul are nowhere to be seen. They have combined for just 21 points in this game so far. Deandre Ayton has managed just 5 points in the entire game. The Mavericks have almost surely booked their ticket to the WCF as the Suns choke up their best season in franchise history.
