Luka has already broken Michael Jordan’s record (18) for most games with at least 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. He has also broken LeBron’s record of being the youngest player to ever score 40+ points in a game. Other than these two, the list of records broken by Luka is already quite impressive and noteworthy. LeBron James once said during an interview in the Road Trippin’ podcast back in 2020, “Luka is one of my favorite players in the NBA today.” [h/t spieltimes.com]
This is high praise that LeBron has bestowed on Doncic. He also admittedly said that he sees himself in the way Luka plays. “The way he plays the game reminds me of the way I play the game,” followed by huge praise of Doncic’s skillset, “We’re triple threats. We rebound, we pass, which is the number one thing on our mind. … and we’ll put 40 on you too if you disrespect us.”
