Luka Doncic came into the league only 4 years ago and he has already established himself as one of the best players in the league. Very few players have been able to say that they were in the MVP conversation every year. Luka has been that player and his idol, LeBron James has been another.

It’s no secret that Luka idolized LeBron and modeled his game after him. He might not have that explosive athleticism like LeBron but he sure does have the passing and vision of James.

Both players are not primary scorers but can score at will and at a high rate. In Luka’s first game against LeBron, Luka received the King’s jersey, and he was ecstatic after that. LeBron has stated multiple times that Luka is one of his favorite players in the league and he wanted him to be the first Team LeBron athlete at Nike.

Luka Doncic and LeBron James are both part of the All-Star game this week and LeBron is the captain, again. LeBron has picked Luka on his team for the past two years and this year is no different. Luka was asked how he felt that he was drafted by LeBron James.

“I look up to him,” says Luka Doncic about LeBron James

Doncic adds, “He’s one of the best players to ever play this game. As a kid, I look up to him, so it’s really a special moment when he picks me. I’m really glad that he picks me. I think that team is going to win again, hopefully, so I’ll be 3-0 after this.
