Tyron Lue recalls his playing days with Michael Jordan in Washington

For someone like Tryon Lue to compare himself to MJ, makes it a hilarious gimmick. Well, that is how Tyron Lue meant it when he compared himself with the great Michael Jordan. Ty Lue is a former NBA player and the current head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers. He played 11 seasons in the NBA and won two NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Though Lue was a role player for most of his career, he was famously known as the guy Allen Iverson stepped over. In a game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Lue was guarding Iverson. AI went up for a shot and Lue contested.

Lue was trying to talk Powell through his struggles on the bench. And you can be sure that must’ve brought a smile to Powell’s face. Powell did not have a good game against the Sacramento Kings.

He shot 1-10 from the field, scoring only 4 points for the game. Powell has been in the starting lineup replacing star Kawhi Leonard. However, it makes you wonder how Michael Jordan would’ve reacted to this since Lue and Jordan did play together during MJ’s days with the Washington Wizards.
