Vegas is cool…Seattle had its shot… I'd give that second team to Tampa

New arena, just recently got the Golden Knights and Raiders. It was a lazy but easy pick. St. Louis deserves a team next. Unfortunately it will probably be like 2038 before that happens

Seattle is a top 15 market. The mariners don’t sell out because they have sucked for 21 years. The Seahawks pumping in crowd noise is just false and Seattle should have never lost their team to begin with.

So Las Vegas with a metro population of 2.2 million will have 3 pro sports teams and Austin with a metro population of 2.3 million and is the fastest growing large metro in the country will still have 0 pro sports teams?

There needs to be more teams in the West to help with the travel distances. Seattle deserves a team to return and LV can definitely support an NBA franchise. I hope it’s true.

Yeah I have no idea how expansion drafts work. I think each team will have a certain amount of players that are “untouchables” and everyone else can get drafted to the expansion team. Just not sure how many untouchables each team gets.

I think we all knew Seattle was getting the Sonics back (God I hope the NBA does the right thing and lets them have that name/logo back) but I really wanted Vancouver to be the other team. Those fans got flat out cheated when their bad owner stole their team to Memphis.

One of the reasons was to keep the league competitive. He said that if the league expands, the talent will be diluted more than it is now. And another issue would be convincing the team’s governors from a 30-way split to a 32-way split. It will be very interesting to see what Silver and the league do in the next few years.
