Millionaire Shaquille O’Neal Makes Honest Admission on Next Girlfriend

Shaquille O’Neal is considered one of the most dominant big men to ever play the game of basketball. Now working as an analyst, Shaq has his own podcast, ‘The Big Podcast with SHAQ’. And there is always something to look forward to in his podcasts.

Now, in the recent edition of the podcast, O’Neal made an honest admission about his next girlfriend. Shaquille O’Neal said, “If I ever get a significant other and if she’s not as successful as I am, it’s not gonna matter if she lives in a one-bedroom apartment..” and advised Nischelle, “..be proud of who you’re with Nischelle..”.

However, it might not be easy for most people to compete with Shaq’s success.

Shaquille O’Neal’s success

During his tenure at Louisiana State, Shaquille O’Neal was a two-time All American, two-time SEC Player of the Year, and the NCAA men’s basketball player of the year in 1991. The Orlando Magic drafted him as the first pick in the 1992 NBA draft.

In his first season, Shaquille O’Neal won the Rookie of the Year Award. Shaq played for the Orlando Magic for four years and took the team to the 1995 NBA Finals. This was the year when the Magic had their famous Eastern Conference finals win against Michael Jordan and the Bulls. Shaquille O’Neal was also the scoring champion of the 1995 season.

A year later, he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. And the Lakers also managed to get Kobe Bryant from the draft. The duo of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant had a three-peat from 2000to 2002. Shaq was crowned the NBA MVP in 2000 and was also the scoring champion that year. He was also the Finals MVP in all the three finals from 2000 to 2002, such was his dominance.

Then in 2004, Shaquille O’Neal signed for the Miami Heat, where he played with Dwyane Wade. Shaq won his 4th NBA Championship with Wade and the Miami Heat in 2006. He then played for the Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Boston Celtics for the next 5 years before retiring in 2011.

To top it off, in 2017, the LA Lakers honored Shaquille O’Neal by revealing a statue of him at the then-named Staples Center.

Shaquille O’Neal’s marriage

Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie married in December 2002. And, after 5 years of marriage, they separated and reconciled shortly after. But it didn’t last long as Shaunie filed for divorce in 2009 and got the divorce in 2011.

Then Shaunie created the reality show ‘Basketball wives’ to show the fans what it is like to be in a relationship with NBA stars. The people featured in the show are either wives, ex-wives, or girlfriends of NBA superstars.
