Mother of Carmelo Anthony’s Son La La Anthony Makes Heartbreaking Claim: “They Won’t Even Let Me in Games Anymore”

NBA veteran Carmelo Anthony was one of the best players in the league during his time with the New York Knicks. While the trade from the Nuggets to the Knicks did work out wonderfully in Anthony’s career’s favor, it wreaked havoc in his personal life.

This was revealed by Anthony’s ex-wife La La Anthony. According to her, their marriage started falling apart when they started living under all the attention in New York.

Moreover, whenever Anthony traveled to different cities for away games, La La had sleepless nights. Interestingly enough, cities like Miami troubled La La the most.

The couple filed for a divorce last year after living in separation for quite some time. The two tied the knot in 2010 and they share a 15-year-old son.

When the host referred to Anthony and the actress as the original NBA couple, she had a rather interesting response. She said, “Well we see how that turned out guys. They probably won’t even let me in games anymore.”

Although the trade from the Nuggets to the Knicks troubled his personal life, he established himself as one of the best players in the league during his time with the Knicks.

How good was Carmelo Anthony in the New York Knicks?

Carmelo Anthony was one of the most hyped players entering the 2003 NBA draft alongside LeBron James. While the Cleveland Cavaliers drafted James, Anthony was drafted by the Denver Nuggets.

After 8 seasons with the Nuggets, he made the move to join the New York Knicks. During his time with the Knicks, Melo, as he is popularly known, averaged 24.7 points, 3.2 assists, and 7.0 rebounds.

Moreover, he won the 2012-13 season Scoring Champ award during this time. He left the Knicks after 7 seasons and played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers before joining the Los Angeles Lakers last season. Currently, the future Hall of Famer is a free agent with a team yet to sign him.
