The Los Angeles Lakers moved on from Russell Westbrook, after trading him to the Utah Jazz. The whole ordeal involved a three-team trade that involved the Lakers, the Jazz, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Lakers arguably got a great deal in exchange for Westbrook, which brought a former Lakers player back to the purple and gold franchise. However, Westbrook got referred to as a “vampire” by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin while quoting a source, leading to his wife Nina lashing out.

During the show, McMenamin referred to the Lakers moving on from Russell Westbrook as, “You remove a vampire from the locker room. That meaning a vampire sucks the blood out of the locker room,” according to one of his sources.

She spoke out, stating, “I have school aged children who have to listen to their peers repeat the nasty things that you guys say on television about their father. I guess I will prepare myself to explain to my 5 year old that his dad is not actually a vampire.”
