NBA Twitter Left Furious After Dillon Brooks Tries To Injure Stephen Curry In Game 6 Of Warriors vs Grizzlies

The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies have had some heat between each other. Since Dillon Brooks’ flagrant foul on Gary Payton II, the two teams haven’t been on the best terms. Last game, Stephen Curry took a shot at the Memphis chant ‘Whoop That Trick’, which did not go his way. However, it seems Brooks took it too deep as he received another flagrant foul for pushing Curry in the second quarter.
Dillon Brooks has been an integral piece for the Grizzlies who battle without Ja Morant. In their 20-5 run without JA, Brooks and Bane formed a major part of the offense. But he hasn’t been able to put his stamp on this series so far. At least not for any good reasons. Firstly, he injured Gary Payton II’s elbow which ended his season. After serving a one-game suspension, Brooks is back with his dirty play.

Is Brooks still looking to hurt the Warriors?
With the Grizzlies faced with a must-win situation against the Warriors, the tension is running high in the building. With the Bay fans already having hate for Brooks, he just seems to want to add on to it. While chasing a rebound in the second quarter, the Baby Face Assassin was in defense mode boxing out a bigger Dillon Brooks successfully. However, in the heat of the moment, Brooks pushed Curry into the referee as frustrations piled on.
After further review of his actions, he received a flagrant 1 for his push. Steph’s splash brother Klay Thompson wasn’t one to stay quiet as he confronted Brooks after the altercation and even received a technical foul himself. As we have seen many times between these two teams, the game is once again a close battle.

Klay started the game off hot hitting his first 4 three-pointers to dig a hole for the Grizzlies. He has set himself up for a big night sitting on 23 points and 6 rebounds halfway through the third quarter. Stephen Curry is right behind his shooting mate with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Draymond Green is also looking aggressive scoring 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists so far in the game.
While Brooks’ dirty play didn’t earn him many fans, it did light a match under him. He is currently leading the Grizzlies with 23 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals to his name. Desmond Bane is starting to generate some rhythm of his own with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. While Jaren Jackson Jr. isn’t at his best offensively, he has already swatted away 3 shots to help defensively.
