NBA World laughs at Michael Jordan and the Hornets for their $120 Million investment in Gordon Hayward. After Hayward’s successful time with the Utah Jazz, there has been concerns about his health when he played for the Boston Celtics. However, Jordan and the Hornets went for him. But his availability has always been a concern for the . Now, he is sidelined for weeks because of his left shoulder injury.

Gordon Hayward was one of the most lauded young stars in the league. However, his once-promising career seems to go in vain because of his history of injuries. In the 2020-21 season, Hayward played in only 44 games and then was ruled out for the season because of an injury.

Then in the 2021-22 season, he appeared in 49 games and then had to sit out because of an ankle sprain.

Recently, it was reported that Gordon Hayward will be out for weeks because of a fracture in his left shoulder. Once again his availability is questionable. And if the condition gets worse, then Hayward may miss the current season as well. This will be bad news for the fans and the franchise.

Hayward has played in the NBA for 12 seasons and has been one of the most consistent performers for the teams he has played for. Throughout his career, he has played 745 games averaging 15.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game with a field goal percentage of 45.3. Looking at the impressive stats Jordan’s Charlotte Hornets offered him a 4 year $120 million contract.

In his 12 years long career he has only been a part of one All-Star game. And during his tenure with the Hornets, on January 6, 2021, he set a new career high by dropping 44 points and earning the victory for the team against the Atlanta Hawks. From time to time his promising performance gets interrupted because of an injury. Fans will be hoping he comes out of the injury soon.
