“Need More Antagonists”: Animosity Between 4x Champion Draymond Green and Ja Morant’s Teammate Intensifies as NBA Fans Pick Sides

Thursday night’s heated game between Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies could lead up to a brewing rivalry. A Memphis Grizzlies star sparked a rivalry after he took a dig at Draymond Green days before Thursday’s game. Meanwhile, the Dubs star responded with a brutal remark right before the tip-off via his podcast. However, the altercation didn’t end there as the duo went up against each other with a heated face-off in the second quarter of the game.
Even though the Dubnation doesn’t consider the Grizzlies as their arch-rivals, Dillon Brooks’ recent interview with ESPN could change the plot. Brooks attacked not only Green in his statement but also the Warriors. He said, “I don’t like Draymond at all…I just don’t like Golden State. I don’t like anything to do with them.” Meanwhile, Draymond referred to him as a “clown” recently. The duo carried the animosity to the post-game interviews and fans started picking sides.

In the second quarter of the game, Dillon Brooks ran up against Draymond Green and finished a lay-up. After the bucket, the duo had an extended face-to-face moment until the referee separated them. The visuals at the center seemed as if Brooks tried to intimidate Green for a technical foul. However, the Dubs star held his nerve and walked off tech-free.

Meanwhile, addressing the moment after the game, the Grizzlies star said, “That’s what I do, I talk…Keep doing his podcast…It’s cute. It’s fun for him.”
The Warriors star also responded to the moment by addressing the press after the game. He said, “I don’t get baited into technical fouls. So I think that’s probably the difference between me and him.” He further said, “If I do that to him, it would be a double tech, because he will respond.” The fans swarmed the Twitter comments, picking sides after the stars’ responses.
