Once, five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman along with Vice Media did the unthinkable. They traveled to North Korea to film an exhibition basketball game. The game included three players from America’s exhibition team, the Harlem Globetrotters. During this trip, Rodman met with Kim Jong Un, the leader of North Korea. This led to an unusual friendship between the two.

Soon, Rodman advocated mending the relationships between North Korea and the United States. While speaking about his efforts in an interview, Rodman choked up and called former president Barack Obama out.

Notably, Rodman visited Singapore when former president Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un decided to meet in 2018. This meeting was termed a historical summit. Rodman traveled to “offer whatever support” that the two leaders required. The NBA Hall of Famer also openly addressed the leaders as his friends. Not to forget that Rodman was also highly appreciative of the Trump Administration for opening their doors to a meeting of this sort.

Somehow, the NBA legend had a deep sense of belief that things were going to change between the two countries. He said, “Everybody came at me and I am still standing. And today (the day of the summit) is a great day for everybody.” Rodman and Kim Jong Un continue to remain friends to date.
