When we talk about ‘Dream Teams’, two of them come to mind. On one hand, we have the rustic old-school side of the 1990s featuring Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Chris Mullin, Magic Johnson, etc. On the other, we have Kobe Bryant’s warriors from the early 2010s, comprising himself, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis. Neither side had a weak link, and there was no lack of stardom. But the everlasting question is, which side was superior?

Chris Mullin is a former NBA winner and an Olympian. He was part of the historic setup with Michael Jordan. Under Chuck Daly, Team USA paved its own legacy in 1992, by dominating the Olympic Games. In a recent interview on ‘The Players’ Tribune’ podcast, the Warriors veteran opened up on his preferred Dream Team. “It’s always hard to compare generations, but the one thing that’s for sure is that there’s only one Dream Team. There’s only one time you can do it as an original. So historically I played in ’84 with with Michael, Patrick; we had a heck of a team. The last amateur team to win a gold medal. ’88 Sarunas and Sabonis beat us and then it opened up to pro. So it was groundbreaking, first time to ever happen. But come on man, we [Team Jordan] are not gonna give that up.”
