Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal and Columbian singer Shakira have known each other for a while. The duo has shared several joyful moments when they shared the stage together on numerous occasions. Back in 2010, TNT shared a snippet of Shaquille O’Neal and Shakira during the ‘Inside The NBA’ show. In 2017, Shaq reminded fans about his meeting with Shakira. He uploaded a picture of him holding Shakira in his arms on his official Facebook account. The 7’1″ O’Neal picked up a 5’2″ Shakira very easily in his arms and made her look half his size.

Shaq and Shakira met on Valentine’s day in TNT’s broadcasting office in 2010. The duo created a funny video in which Shaq asked Shakira to be her valentine and offered her flowers and a kiss. However, Shakira gestured that the four-time NBA champ was too tall and rejected his request in a funny manner. The picture of him holding Shakira was from the same day. The image since then was uploaded on Instagram by Shaq Fu radio and subsequently grabbed the attention of fans.

O’Neal shared the image with Shakira on the platform’s Instagram account. Shaq is seen all dressed up in a suit holding Shakira in his arms with big smiles on both of their faces.

The 15-time All-Star has had a great interest in the music and entertainment industry since his playing days. Shaq started his music-making journey in the 1990s and his first album Shaq Diesel came out in 1993. The album turned out to be a grand success and the Diesel name stuck with him. 

After releasing multiple albums and featuring in a number of movies in the 1990s, Shaq turned his complete attention to the NBA. However, Shaq has involved himself with music again in recent years. He began DJing and received an immediate positive response from his fans. Shaq is now also known as DJ Diesel. The three-time NBA MVP is now aiming to break the world record for the largest mosh pit at a musical festival. He also played at the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium back in 2019.
