It is safe to say that Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is amongst the top players in the NBA right now. Coming off winning his fourth championship with the Warriors franchise, ‘Chef Curry’ is kicking back this off-season whilst also prepping for the upcoming one. 

Arguably the best shooter in league history, Curry’s long-range bombs are a sight to see. His shooting from beyond the range is almost as effortless as it can be. Ending the 2021-2022 season with the 3rd seed in the Western Conference, the Warriors finished the season with a 53-29 record.

And this is after Klay Thompson, the other half of the ‘Splash Brothers’ duo ended up missing more than half of the games last year. Thompson only played 32 games during the regular season so it was down to Curry and his insane shooting that kept the Warriors not just afloat but ahead of many other teams in the NBA.

Curry kicked it up a notch this last season. He ended the season with an average of 25.5 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 6.3 APG.

“We Don’t Want Him Getting Hurt”: Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson Try Sumo Wrestling in Japan, Leaving NBA World in a Frenzy

So it is fair to see Curry calling out critics on their bizarre predictions ahead of the upcoming season. The ‘NBA on ESPN’ page on Twitter posted a stat-based model which projected the Warriors to be the 8th seed in the Western Conference by the end of the season. And this post ended up catching Stephen Curry‘s attention. He then went on to comment, “14% chance to win the finals too”. 

Curry ended up calling out the critics. Since the Warriors are coming off their fourth championship in the last eight years, they certainly do have the bragging rights. And even though it seemed as if Curry took this playfully, you can be sure that he will be playing with a chip this upcoming season as well.

With Stephen Curry on an absolute tear last season, the Golden State Warriors are likely going to look even scarier with the return of Klay Thompson. Another player that is making his return to the team is their center, James Wiseman. Wiseman ended up missing the entire 2021-2022 NBA season after tearing the meniscus in his right knee.

The trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green has produced magic for the Bay Area franchise in recent years. They have a certain chemistry together both on and off the court. And with other players like Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole who contributed to the offense in the absence of Thompson have really developed these past few seasons.
