Back in the old era of basketball, size was a huge factor for any player. The game was ruled by the big men and smaller guards had almost no shot at making it. However, over the years, the NBA has transitioned into a league dominated by the guard spot. And Stephen Curry has been the spearhead of this revolution. During an interview, Salley made a confusing comment on the Baby Face Assassin saying he has made the game fun for shorter people.

The current NBA era is all dictated due to the emergence of a player like Curry. Playing as a point guard, his perimeter supremacy changed the game forever. The three-pointers in the league keep increasing, and there seems to be no stop in the near future.

Even the centers have developed a smooth jump shot which is far from what the old era centers were meant to do. But another major thing Steph has been able to do is to give hope to the ones who didn’t get blessed with size.

Standing at just 6’2″, Curry isn’t among the tallest NBA players in the league. On the court, he isn’t one to overwhelm an opponent physically. But the former MVP has mastered one of the most basic skills in basketball like no other player has ever achieved. Owning almost every three-point record in the league, Steph didn’t let his size dictate his destiny. Moreover, according to Salley, he made the game fun because everyone can do what Steph does.

Salley said: “Steph Curry has made the game fun for people who aren’t tall. Because look where he is shooting the ball from. Everybody can throw the ball up to the rim. Maybe not get it to go in as efficiently as he does but the game is back to being a regular-sized game.”

Despite being a smaller guard, Curry found a way to make it into an advantage. As a relatively smaller player on the court, Steph is much faster than the bigger guys. He is able to fight off the screens and get to his spot with ease. Notably, he has become the focal point of the Warriors’ offense despite being a perimeter threat.

Moreover, it makes it harder for the defenders as there is no room for error. Even a little space is enough f the Baby Face Assassin to hit a dagger right in someone’s face. Hence, with Salley’s comments, Curry has found a way to make the game a lot fair for smaller guys.
