However, according to sources, the 9x All-Star is not likely to play with the Jazz and instead, enter the buyout market and test the waters. Consequently, the NBA world has slipped into a major frenzy trying to figure out the next destination of the former Laker. However, among the teams in his sweepstakes, some have already emerged as favorites. 

Meanwhile, according to an NBA insider, Westbrook’s former coach has seemingly swayed the chances in his team’s favor to land the 2017 NBA MVP. Consequently, the NBA world erupted into hysteria amid all the brewing rumors.

But according to senior insider Chris Haynes, the Chicago Bulls have seriously raised their chances of landing the point guard. On the latest episode of the #thisleague Uncut podcast, Haynes, alongside Marc Stein, covered the current buyout market. 

Meanwhile, Haynes dropped a major update while glossing over the Westbrook situation. According to his sources, Billy Donovan, the head coach of the Chicago Bulls, has relayed his proposition to Westbrook’s camp. Donovan is a former coach of Westbrook during his Oklahoma City Thunder days. According to Haynes, Donovan has conveyed to Westbrook that Chicago should be at the top of his preferred destinations.

Haynes revealed, “I was told, Billy Donovan with the Bulls, his message has been relayed to Russ that Chicago should be the the place for him.” However, Haynes noted that the mode of communication is unclear, but he is certain that Donovan’s message was relayed.
