“This Is Pathetic”: NBA World Unhappy with Damian Lillard’s Teammate for Dirty Tactics Despite 71-Point Thriller
The Portland Trail Blazers and the Houston Rockets locked horns last night and the Rip City ended up comfortably winning the game by a wide margin. Damian Lillard was the star of the show as he dropped a career-high 71 points at the Moda Center. However, despite winning the game easily, one of Lillard’s teammates surprisingly used some supposedly ‘dirty tactics’ to stop the Rockets rising star, Alperen Sengun from scoring a basket at one point during the game. This, in turn, grabbed the attention of NBA fans and prompted them to chime in on the play on social media. In fact, they were seemingly very unhappy with the way things transpired during the move.
The Blazers player who initiated the move to stop the Rockets rising star from scoring is none other than Drew Eubanks. The Trail Blazers center’s move triggered stern disapproval from fans across the Internet.

In the third quarter of the game when the Rockets were down 21, Sengun tried to put the ball into the basket after tricking Eubanks and another Blazers player in the paint. But the Turkish prodigy was unable to score as the Trail Blazers center committed a flagrant foul on him.
As a result, both of them got into a heated argument and fellow players had to intervene to stop the two. The fragrant was the only option left for referee K.J Martin, as a few minutes earlier, the now 26-year-old drew the refs’ attention by staring back and stepping over Sengun after blocking his shot.

Along with Damian Lillard, Eubanks was one of the most instrumental players for the Trail Blazers’ win last night. The 6 feet 10 inches guard certainly knew that he had to protect the rim at any cost. However, there is certainly no defending the play, in which he tried to pull down Sengun by his neck while falling down after a successful pump-fake from the Rockets star. Eubanks finished the game with nine points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.
Fans were apparently disappointed with the dirty tactics of Eubanks
A Houston podcast host recently shared a clip on social media that showed Eubanks committing the foul. He definitely was unhappy with his gesture and wrote, “This is pathetic from Drew Eubanks. This is far from a basketball play…”
