The Los Angeles Lakers seem to be on a roll despite the injury layoff of LeBron James. The team has taken it upon themselves to keep the franchise afloat during his absence. And they have done so by winning three of the last four games, going on a three-game winning streak. James was the team’s scoring leader and first option on offense but since his injury, Anthony Davis has taken over the helm. And he is doing a great job so far, leading the team in points and rebounds.
So many fans are convinced the Lakers should build a team around Davis and James should be traded. Especially after Davis made an elite list after his recent performance.

Davis became the first player in 20 years with 30+ points and 15+ rebounds on 60% shooting in his last three games. The last player who did that was NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal in 2001. And now, looks like Davis is coming into a category with another All-Time great.
In the absence of LeBron James, Anthony Davis comes up huge
Anthony Davis became the first player in franchise history with 30+ points and 15+ rebounds in just 30 minutes of action. The last player to do that was Wilt Chamberlain, in 1969. That sure is an impressive feat.
LeBron James recently said that Davis has been playing like his old self but that sounds like a bit of an understatement. AD was riddled with injuries these past couple of seasons. But now with a healthy star in the lineup, fans are urging for a blockbuster move surrounding the aging LeBron James.

Now imagine if you played a center with Davis how dominate that would be… if u just played like every other NBA team and didnt get rid of the center position to slide PF to center. Would have won so many games this year and last year that were lost at the rim.

AD was the first option on offense during his time with the New Orleans Pelicans. And he put up big numbers for the team. But since he joined the Lakers, he had been the team’s second offensive option.
Because of multiple injuries sustained in the past couple of years, many believed Davis won’t be back to his best. So, it is surely a sight to see AD going out there and balling out for the team on a nightly basis. But trading James might not be the answer.
