Stephen Curry is a vital player for the Golden State Warriors. In fact, he might even be the best player on that roster. Not only Warriors, if Steph was a part of some other team, he sure would have been just as important there as well. That speaks volumes about the ability and talent of Stephen Curry.

The best shooter ever makes the game look easy. His ability to look for tight spaces, make acute passes, make his team click, or obviously take a shot himself, and more times than not, he scores. Moreover, time and again, he has shown why he is the best in the business.

It is true that Stephen Curry is a rare talent. His impact on the Warriors is immense and without him, they look like a totally different side. Even with Steph, there was a slight dip in form for the Warriors. However, with the return of Draymond Green and Klay Thompson picking up pace, things looked good for Steve Kerr’s side.

But now the injury to Stephen Curry has been a major setback as they are on a 3 match losing streak.

Steve Kerr opens up about Warriors’ form without Stephen Curry

There are no two ways about the fact that Steph Curry is a piece of Steve Kerr’s side, which is simply irreplaceable. But at the end of the day, basketball is a team game. Even if they do not flourish without Steph, one would expect some decent performances for the 3rd seed side. Steve Kerr addressed the situation after their loss against the Orlando Magic.

“We have to execute better and we’ve gotta be smarter. We gotta stop fouling three-point shooters. That killed us. Killed us! The last two games.” Steve Kerr talked about the game. “There’s gotta be a level of discipline, accountability, of competitive desire and I know these are great guys. I love these guys in the locker room. Awesome guys. I know they want to win. We just have to learn how to win. Right now, we don’t know how to win.”

Without Curry, the Warriors are on a 3 game losing streak. The last two games they lost were the ones they were expected to come out on top. San Antonio Spurs are the 11th seed in the Western, whereas Orlando Magic are the 14th in the Eastern. These were the two sides one would expect a 3rd seed Warriors would beat even without Steph but they were unable to deliver.

The Warriors face the Miami Heat next, who are the first seed in the East. Even with Steph, this was going to be a challenging game, but now without him, it seems that it is going to be a tough night where Warriors would have to work their socks off to fashion out a win. Stephen Curry is expected to return in time before the playoffs. The Warriors need their star man as soon as possible.
