The Golden State Warriors are again making it look like they might end up at the bottom of the Western Conference for a second consecutive year. When playing two of the best teams in the East, the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets, the Warriors were crushed badly.

They’ve only won against fairly average teams like the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons. However, that is definitely not a great sign. In fact, Draymond Green is even calling out Kelly Oubre Jr for not putting up better performances.

The Golden State Warriors should worry

After losing to the Portland Trail Blazers yesterday, the Warriors are now 2-3. And Stephen Curry knows that if they don’t start winning, they will get left far behind in this 72-game 2020-21 campaign.

This is not even close to what the Warriors were hoping for when they signed, drafted, and traded for players to make their roster stronger. Ultimately, it looks like the burden of carrying them will fall on Stephen Curry’s shoulders. And this will hurt his reputation to a great extent.

Is Kelly Oubre Jr. the only one at fault?

Oubre was brought in to the Bay area with a salary four times his previous one. Thus, it is high time he shows that he is worthy of the price tag given to him. When the Warriors acquired him, they were thrilled that someone like him was filling in for Klay Thompson.

In fact, nobody even expects him to be that next superstar but at least be the decent scoring option they saw in him when he played for the Phoenix Suns. And because he is failing to live up to the pedestal given to him, his teammate Draymond Green doesn’t look very pleased.

As per Drew Shriller, “Draymond Green on Kelly Oubre: “I hope he’s pressing. You have a certain standard that you want to play at. And when you don’t meet that standard, you should be pressing.”

Yes, Oubre is missing his three’s, has a pile of turnovers, and not contributing to the scoreboard. However, he shouldn’t be the only one taking the fall for their failures. Even players like Andrew Wiggins, Eric Paschall, and Kevon Looney look like they need to get their act together. So, will the Warriors work on themselves before it’s too late? Or waste more time playing the blame game?
