Warriors’ Steph Curry Reacts to Being Voted For NBA All-Star Starter

After the terrific season the Golden State Warriors’ superstar is having, it is no surprise that he got voted as an NBA All-Star for the seventh time in his career. Contrary to popular opinion, there were doubts about whether Steph Curry could hold the fort this season without Klay Thompson. Undoubtedly, he has done a stellar job so far and his supporting cast has proven to be very reliable too.

And now, the All-Star game is days away, and Curry wanted to thank his fans and teammates for the constant motivation that has brought him to this stage.

The two-time MVP was not able to attend the event in 2020 because of an injury. Hence, that ended his streak of appearing in the All-Star game six times straight.But now, he has a shot at rebuilding that streak because it’s not possible that this is the last time he gets voted.

Steph went on Twitter to express how grateful he is to his fans and teammates. He wrote, “Humbled and Honored. Thanks to the fans for voting, my teammates for rocking with me, 7x sounds pretty good! I never take this for granted.”

He will be joining LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, and Kawhi Leonard as the starting five for the Western Conference. He will be up against a former Warrior, Kevin Durant. Along with him, the Eastern Conference starters are Bradley Beal, Kyrie Irving, Joel Embiid, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Curry is having an MVP caliber season. He is averaging 30 points per game, shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 42.5 percent from the distance. Now, he has a chance to dazzle fans next to and against the league’s best.

The Warriors are seventh in the West, with a 16-13 record. Although he didn’t have the best night against the Miami Heat in their last outing, his teammates had everything handled to ensure a victory.

It looks like the franchise is doing far better than expected without Klay. But do you think they are ready to defeat the competitive West to bring a championship this year? Or will they have to wait around for Thompson to be the best version of themselves?
