WATCH: Clippers vs Nets: Paul George and Bruce Brown Indulge in War of Words

Paul George and Bruce Brown got into a heated exchange during the Clippers vs Nets game. The two conference giants were facing off in a tightly contested battle that kept going back and forth. Given the quality of the two teams playing, it isn’t a bold assumption to believe that their game could be an NBA Finals preview.

Paul George and Bruce Brown had unkind words for each other during the game. George shoved Brown lightly after a call didn’t go his way. Brown retaliated by confronting him, and the two proceeded to exchange some barbs. As things got more heated, security and the referees came in and intervened.

In the end, the Brooklyn Nets prevailed after a heated contest. Paul George had to leave the game a little earlier due to a minutes restrictions. The game came down to the last minute, when a decision went against Kawhi Leonard after he tried driving to the basket. Despite the loss, the Clippers will be satisfied about taking a potential finals opponent to the limit.

LA Clippers Coach Ty Lue Gives Major Injury Update on Kawhi Leonard and Paul George

Paul George has been fantastic this season and is coming back this year after a disappointing post-season performance.

George noted earlier this season that his struggles were due to him undergoing double shoulder surgery. This year, George has looked like his old self and is playing at an MVP caliber.

George has been one of the main driving forces behind the LA Clippers’ strong start. The Clippers are among the best teams in the West, behind the Utah Jazz and the LA Lakers. However, the Clippers have had significant blunders during the season.

Can Paul George help lead the Clippers to the NBA Finals? He has a tough task to make it out of the Western Conference with a good seed. The conference and the league has gotten much better over the past few months. And the Clippers will be hungry to prove that they are a better team than they were in the NBA playoffs last season.
