After months of building hype, NBA 2K21 next-gen finally released on November 10. Less than a week since it dropped, 2K has already released the first patch notes for the game. It covers multiple game modes and a few general fixes as well.

Among the minor updates are improvements for the face scan via the mobile app and improvements for hair and accessories for created players. A whopping 40 players have got an updated face scan now. That includes Paul George, Nikola Jokic, Andrew Wiggins, Dwight Howard, and Jordan Clarkson. They also took care of some stability issues with 2KTV.

Some big updates to the gameplay are Coach Settings, System Proficiency, Assign Plays, and CPU/User Slider menus now being available for Quick Play games, glitches during block animations, and improved inbound plays.

NBA 2K21: Fixes for MyCareer and The City

For MyCareer, 2K fixed a hang when trying to enter the private workout leading into the Draft. They also addressed an issue where attribute prices could show up as negative numbers and a rare soft hang in Live Practice on the recap screen when all badges had been maxed out.

The City also had its fair shares of addressed issues. Based on the feedback received from the community, they have improved City gameplay, with more optimizations coming soon. Jump Shot Creator issues have been fixed, and they have improved stability for Garage Hoops and Gatorade Rental Court games.

What are the improvements for MyNBA, MyTEAM, and The W?

2K has now fixed an issue with downloading user-expansion during MyNBA. Among other improvements are multiple hanging errors and stability issues, which are common with almost every game mode. MyTEAM had an error where the player had the wrong overall displayed, so that has been addressed.

Finally, for The W, the online experience has been improved and the hang that occurred while editing the MyPlayer’s appearance has been taken care of.
