“For 48 Mins, My Soul Smiled”: Stephen Curry Looks Back at Klay Thompson’s Historic Performance

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry enjoyed himself while watching his teammate Klay Thompson‘s historic performance from 2013.

Just over a week now since NBA has suspended its league, players have been looking at different ways to bide their time. While the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and a few others have been indulging themselves with video games, Curry relaxed with a bit of throwback.

On Wednesday, Curry tweeted saying his”soul smiled” while watching Thompson’s 60-point game.

It was in 2013 when the Warriors were raring after adding Kevin Durant in the roster. During a game against Paul George‘s Indiana Pacers, Thompson dropped 60 points in just three quarters.

NBA’s suspension might delay Klay Thompson from coming back to playing alongside Stephen Curry again

Currently in rehabilitation from his ACL injury, Thompson isn’t expected to be back until next season. With NBA currently suspended amidst the coronavirus pandemic, it could affect Thompson’s recovery timeline.

During a conference call with local reporters, Warriors general manager Bob Myers talked abouthow the suspension could affect Thompson’s rehabilitation.

“Yes, it’s hard. Privately, by himself. Maybe with one of our trainers individually at his house. Even my own hip surgery recovery, anything you can do without interacting with somebody. … If you don’t have your own gym (in your house), there’s not really anywhere to go. Most guys don’t have a basketball gym in their house. They might have a weight room,” Myers said as per The Athletic.
