Curry is the son of former NBA player Dell who played for the Charlotte Hornets for ten seasons. He and his family moved back to the state of North Carolina post his retirement. It was here that he first laid eyes on Ayesha Alexander. She was born in Toronto and moved to North Carolina aged 14 where she met her future husband at a church youth group in 2002. They cited their Christian faith as what keeps them grounded in their respective careers.

Initially, they were afraid of asking each other out. However, they began dating when he visited LA for the ESPY awards in his college days. Ayesha was pursuing an acting career there. She says she liked him as he was humble despite his growing popularity.

They tied the knot after his third full season in the NBA on July 30 almost 9 years ago. There has been no looking back for them since then. We have never heard anything about a rift and possible divorce between the two. Ayesha Curry made a career as a celebrity chef and posts regular food videos on her YouTube channel. In addition to this, she hosts Ayesha’s Homemade, The Great American Baking Show and Family Food Fight. Her husband and kids make regular appearances on the show.

Stephen and Ayesha have three children. Riley Curry is their eldest. She became famous in her father’s post-game press conference in 2015. It was a few months before Steph won his first NBA Championship. Their second child Ryan was born in July 2015. Their third child Cannon will complete 2 years this July.
