Amid Complaints and Viral Photos of Bad Food, Here is the Reality of What NBA Players Will be Eating During the Orlando Bubble

While inside the bubble, NBA players need not worry about food. Once players finish their quarantine period, they will have greater culinary options.
USA Today reported that the NBA has partnered with an executive chef and a chain of restaurants to provide those inside the bubble with food and beverage choices. When the teams first arrive inside the bubble, they will have their meals delivered directly to their hotel rooms. They will later have access to various restaurants inside the campus.
“Each of the 22 NBA teams were paired with a Disney culinary team, who meets with each NBA team’s nutritionists regularly to create menus to support specific team needs,” the league said in a statement provided to USA TODAY Sports.

“After clearing quarantine, players will also have access to various restaurants on campus and delivery options to choose from. Players will receive three meals a day and four meals on game days. There is never a shortage of food options – players can always request additional food by speaking with their team nutritionists.”

The reports also suggested that the league has set extensive guidelines for food preparation, handling, and delivery services.
NBA restarts with Los Angeles Lakers playing Los Angeles Clippers
The 2019/20 season will restart on July 30. The first day after the restart will see a game between Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers. It was also the fixture that kick-started the season last October. Teams have already started arriving inside the bubble in Orlando.

Washington Wizards were among the teams to have started contact practice in Orlando. Their coach, Scott Brooks, recently spoke about how good the NBA has been with the facilities inside the bubble.

The teams will initially play practice games before the restart of the actual season, which will serve the purpose of preseason games.
