Avery Bradley opted out of his player option with the 2020 NBA champions Los Angeles Lakers this offseason. The 30-year-old guard decided to take his talents to the Miami Heat in hopes of a better role.

Bradley recently spoke about the reason he chose the Heat for the next destination in his career.

“I always felt like if I ever got an opportunity to play here, I would fit in perfect. Once the opportunity presented itself, I knew I would take advantage of it. I’m excited because I do feel like I’m a perfect fit. We all know what it means to be a Miami Heat player — the passion, the dedication it takes to be a part of this culture.

“I think our team is going to be really good. I’m excited to be part of Miami and part of a great culture like this. I felt wanted.”

Over the years, Miami have proved to be a likeable destination for free agents. It the winning mentality that attracts agent along with the favorable living conditions.

Although Bradley decided to sit out of the NBA Bubble, he had a solid regular season. Bradley averaged 8.6 points per game while playing nearly 25 minutes per game. Moreover, Bradley’s ability to defend well is something that never goes out of style.

The Heat will be at least hoping to make it back to the NBA Finals in the 2020-21 NBA Finals. Adding Bradley to their roster certainly will improve their chances to achieve that goal.
