The Denver Nuggets are fighting to stay alive in the Western Conference Finals. Leading this fight is the young star, Jamal Murray. He has been on fire throughout the series, and tonight has been no different.

During today’s game, he unleashed his inner Michael Jordan as he made an outrageous up and under layup. He did this despite being guarded by LeBron James, one of the best defenders in the game. He made the leap to dunk, but LeBron had his hand up. So he improvised mid-air and finished it with some English.

Despite the difficulty of that layup, Murray made it look easy and finished it for two points. He has been a highlight reel by himself and this is one of his many highlight plays in the series.

Can Jamal Murray lead the Nuggets to the win?

At the time of writing, Muray had 28 points and was shooting 12/17 from the field. His playmaking ability was also on display as he led the Nuggets with seven assists. He has had little luck with shooting from outside, going 0/2 from deep. So he has focused on driving to the paint and the Lakers haven’t been able to stop him.

The scary part for the Lakers is that Murray is going to get more dangerous as the game proceeds. Fourth-quarter Murray has been one of the clutch and impactful players, and the Nuggets have completed multiple comebacks led by him.

Tonight has been a back and forth for the Lakers and Nuggets. However, the Nuggets could not pull ahead despite coming close on multiple occasions. They could not contain Anthony Davis, who has been torching them all over the court. They have resorted to fouling him, but he hasn’t missed a single free throw out of his 12 attempts.

The Nuggets need to rally together and go strong as they attempt to get the series level before it gets out of hand for them. They have come back from a 3-1 deficit twice already, but doing it again would be exhausting.
