Clippers’ Paul George Takes a Hilarious Dig at Himself on Instagram

After having an MVP caliber season with the Thunder, Paul George requested a trade. It was clear that the Thunder’s repetitive failure in the playoffs was the primary reason behind his decision.

As a result, George found himself in a partnership with Kawhi Leonard at the LA Clippers. The Clippers themselves were struggling to make some noise in the postseason for quite some time. But with George and Leonard at the helm, the expectations were at an all-time high for the franchise.

Unfortunately, they choked in the playoffs, and Paul George became one of the reasons for their demise. However, despite an abysmal season, there is some good news for George, who recently got engaged to his girlfriend.

“Take this walk with me to our 30s where we’ll find love for life! Happy bday my love @danielarajic. Shit just got REAL lol love you #Shegotaringfirst,” he wrote on his Instagram account.

Following poor performances in the playoffs, George was heavily criticized. But it seems like he has finally embraced the trolls, with a clever hashtag below the post.

Although he is joking about it, many people are wondering if Paul George will ever win a ring or not. He turned 30 this year and moving forward, the task will only get tougher for him.

Can Paul George redeem himself next season?

The 2020-21 season will hold special value not only for George but for the Clippers franchise. They will be under the spotlight once again to win it all this season. Moreover, they will play with a new head coach after Doc Rivers’ firing.

Additionally, if George and Kawhi do not win next year, it will taint their legacies at this point. Kawhi, who left a team perfectly built around him in Toronto and PG, who is yet to achieve anything significant in the playoffs.

All things considered, if they have another disappointing season, both superstars can opt-out of their respective player options. But it will leave the Clippers in a pretty bad situation as they have traded away their future to get Paul George.
