Damian Lillard will go down in NBA history as one of the better point guards of this generation. However, Lillard is yet to make a championship run. He got close last season, getting swept by the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.

Dame got into a heated interaction with LA Clippers guard Patrick Beverley. This was because Beverley mocked Dame after he missed free-throws. The issues between Dame and PatBev go back to Lillard eliminating the Houston Rockets with a buzzer-beating three, similar to what he did to Beverley’s Clippers teammate, Paul George in the playoffs last year.

Lillard has been trying to will his team into the playoffs, falling 1.5 games out of the eighth seed with this loss and only three games to go. Clippers have their spot locked but can still move around seeding places.

The Trail Blazers lost a close game to the Clippers 122-117. It was a contested game for the most part before the Clippers caught some late steam to beat Portland despite not having Kawhi Leonard on the court.

Clippers were led by Paul George who had 21, but the entire team played well. Reggie Jackson had 17, Landry Shamet had 19 and Marcus Morris had 15. Trail Blazer’s leading scorer was C.J. McCollum with 29 points. Damian Lillard and Carmelo Anthony both scored over 20, but they ultimately fell short.
