The San Antonio Spurs failed to make it to the postseason for the first time in 23 years. With the NBA entering its offseason, coach Gregg Popovich is going to go for a rebuild to put the Spurs back in the race for the championship. And according to trade rumors, DeMar DeRozan might be the veteran player up for the trade, as he was speculated to be unhappy with the Spurs. But looks like DeMar disagrees.
Even when the Toronto Raptors traded DeMar, he expressed that he wasn’t happy with that decision. Despite being loyal, they traded him off. Although DeMar performed decently this season, he hasn’t been able to fit very well with the Spurs. With just one year to go in his contract, DeMar could be up for trade in the San Antonio Spurs.
The rumors came about when an anonymous NBA agent claimed that DeMar isn’t happy with the Spurs. Entering this offseason, if he leaves, then the Detroit Pistons would be a probable destination for the vet. However, DeMar has refused these accusations subtly on his Instagram.

DeMar went on Instagram and posted a hilarious video of a confused man. The Clip contained the caption “Me trying to figure out when I said that shit.” This clearly showed that the claims made by the NBA agent are most likely false, and DeMar never said that.

But, if it’s true and the Spurs do trade him, then what could be the reason? DeRozan might be great at scoring and passing, but his defense is not up to the mark.
Lacking both defensively and offensively, the team can’t put up with that for very long.
And if the Pistons end up taking him, what does their future look like? They could form a trio with Derrick Rose and Blake Griffin. Since DeMar hasn’t been able to settle well with the Spurs, this might look like a good option for him.
