The Denver Nuggets came off an incredible 2020 playoff run where they were eliminated in the Western Conference Finals. However, prior to the WCFs, they erased a 3-1 deficit twice, becoming the first team ever to do so.

Moreover, the franchise has two established stars to lead the team in the coming year. Both Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic proved their worth to the team and fans in the 2020 postseason. It is safe to assume that the keys of the franchise are in safe hands moving forward.

As a result, the Nuggets were not that active in the offseason but still made great signings to bolster their championship hopes. Due to the amazing regular season, the Nuggets had a late first-round pick, which they used to select Zeke Nnaji.

Apart from Hampton, the franchise placed their trust in their current players as well. They re-signed Bol Bol to a better deal after his impressive performance in the first few games during the NBA Bubble.

Furthermore, veteran forward Paul Millsap will return to the team after a great show in the Bubble as well.

The last notable acquisition for the team is the contract extension for Monte Morris. The Nuggets handed the guard a 3-year $27 million contract to keep him at bay. These transactions should definitely improve their chances to make it all the way to the Finals.

Players lost

While the franchise retained almost every player from their terrific 2020 postseason run. They lost forward Jerami Grant to the Pistons as he wanted a change of scenario in his career. Also, the team parted ways with forward Keita Bates-Diop by waiving him.
