Self-deprecation is one of the most widely used forms of humor. The best standup comedians use this approach to get a laugh out of their fans. Now, this is seldom seen on the sporting scene where a lot of athletes are self-obsessed. However, Dwyane Wade doesn’t fall in this category.

The 3-time NBA Champion with the Miami Heat took his retirement in 2019. He has accumulated an insane social media following in all these years playing for the NBA. The 6’4” legendary figure boasts more than 17 million Instagram followers and close to 10 million on Twitter

Outside the court, Dwyane is known for his fashion statements and one of his recent looks has got him back in news.

Wade has built quite an image when it comes to using creative ways to make statements. He would more often than not change his hair color or opt for unique styles. One can claim that he is the modern-day avatar of Dennis Rodman in this regard. 

Recently, Wade posted a picture with Kaavia, one of his four kids. Someone thought his hairstyle looked exactly like a tennis ball and created a meme that featured tennis star Serena Williams.

The 38-YO star was recently included in TIME’s list of the 100 Most Influential People. This proves his influence over the tens of millions of fans he has deservingly gathered over years of sheer hard work.

Apart from the important issues that he raises awareness about via his social media handles, the star also posts humorous stuff every once in a while. Recently, he copied the bare chest look of LeBron James from his time in the Orlando Bubble and posted a collage to mock the 4-time champion who is also his former teammate.
