“Hopefully, He Runs For President”: Warriors Star Wants LeBron James to Become the US President

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green called LeBron James a flawless player. In a recent appearance on ESPN’s First Take, Green said James was arguably the greatest player of all-time.
Green faced James in four NBA finals when he was in his second stint with Cleveland Cavaliers. When James joined the Cavaliers for after leading Miami Heat to two titles, he immediately made an impact on his hometown club. The kind of impact you would expect from a great player. With Kyrie Irving and LeBron James on their side, the Cavaliers reached the NBA finals in 2014, but the Warriors got the better of them.
The next season, it was once again the same contest in the finals. This time, the Warriors looked even stronger. They were coming off a record-breaking campaign with 73 regular season wins. After three games in the finals series, it all but decided in favor of the Warriors. But James led an incredible turn around brining a Championship to Cleveland.

James and Green would face off in the finals for two more years, but the Warriors emerged with victories on both occasions.
Draymond Green felt LeBron James should run for the president
Green believed James was great not just on the court but also off it. Many know the Los Angeles Lakers star as an activist who has led many fights against social issues. Even in the wake of the most recent incident of George Floyd’s death, James has been quite vocal on social media.

It was things like these that gained him respect from Green. He went on to say James should perhaps compete for the post of the President of the United States.

“LeBron yields a lot of power, as he should,” he said during his appearance on the First Take. “Arguably the greatest player of all time. His resume is flawless- on and off the court. The things that he has been able to do on the court are obviously spectacular. It’s more important the things that he’s been able to accomplish off the court.
“That’s where he gets the utmost respect from me. As a competitor, I enjoy playing against him. But what he’s done off the court … I have the utmost respect for him. Hopefully, he runs for President one day.”
