“I’ll Be Much Stronger”: Giannis Antetokounmpo Posts a Throwback Video of His Lean and Skinny Days

The determination one needs to have to make dreams come true should be very very high. If you ask a young Giannis Antetokounmpo the same, he will give you a similar answer. Always believe that you can make it.

Giannis Antetokounmpo posts a throwback video of himself

The reigning MVP posted a video on Instagram in which you can see a much younger version of him. The video is from 2013, and Giannis is giving an interview from a basketball court. We assume he must be only 18-years-old at that time.

The video is originally the property of The Players’ Tribune. In the clip, Giannis is seen answering the questions posed by an interviewer about his game and future goals. The youngster was full of confidence when the person asked him his thoughts on where he will be five years later. “I’ll be much stronger. I’ll be much better in everything, If I can,” he answered.

Revealing his desire to play in the NBA as his ultimate goal, he went on to name five-time champion Magic Johnson and two-time champion Kevin Durant as his favorite players. One could see the conviction in the eyes of Giannis when he gave his answers without stuttering much. You could see that he was in the process of getting ready for the NBA.

The rise of Giannis in the NBA

Upon his selection by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013, Giannis has been steadily making his mark in the league. He has evolved as one of the most dominating players with his physical presence on the court.

The ‘Greek Freak’ is touted to keep his throne as the league’s MVP this season. After an impressive season last year, Giannis has now led the Bucks to the top of the Eastern Conference with the best record, when compared to the other 29 teams. With his physical prowess he might even lead the Bucks to the title this year.

Furthermore, the 6-foot-7 monster averages 29.7 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game, in the current season. His impressive stats can’t be overlooked and he is certainly a top contender to win the regular-season MVP award this year.
