Talking about the league restart, Milwaukee Bucks veteran Kyle Korver said he would follow the lead of his teammates.

Since the NBA agreed over a league restart with 22 teams, there have been a few disagreements over it. Last Friday, Kyrie Irving led a conference call with about 80 other players to express concerns over the effects the league’s restart could have. He believed it could affect the ongoing protests in the nation against societal issues. Los Angeles Lakers’ Avery Bradley and Dwight Howard were among the players who agreed with Irving.

In a conversation with former NBA player Richard Jefferson, Korver felt the societal issues should have greater attention but also said there can be a way to resume the season without affecting the protests.

“If we think that is the best way for change, I care more about change happening than a championship. On the other side, I am on a team that feels like we could win. And I have never won. I would like to win. So is there a way to do both? I think there’s a conversation there. But again, I’m going to follow the lead of my black brothers and teammates on this,” he said.

Milwaukee Bucks would be aiming for a championship

Korver is currently into his 17th season in the NBA. He started his league career in 2003 with Philadelphia 76ers. Over the years, he has played for various teams including Utah Jazz, Chicago Bulls, and Cleveland Cavaliers. He joined the Bucks last summer and has a great opportunity to win the title this season.

When the Bucks lost to Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference finals last season, many were disappointed to not have made it to the finals. They have an equally strong side this season with the reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo continuing his form. They had the best record in the NBA prior to the league’s suspension and will be eyeing for the Championship if and when the season resumes.
