Kevin Durant Has a Lovely Surprise For a Young Man’s Graduation

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant had a surprise for a student appearing on Instagram. It was actually a surprise planned by the said student’s girlfriend.

With the graduates of the 2020 class having to do without a full-fledged graduate ceremony, they are finding other ways to celebrate their graduation. This young man had a surprise as his girlfriend connected him to NBA superstar Kevin Durant on Instagram live.

“Yo, your girl loves you, dawg,” Durant said in the video. “You got you a good one. I’m just showing love, man. Congrats, bro.”

Unsurprisingly, the boy looked nothing less than stunned. He could hardly believe what he was experiencing for the entire duration.

On the professional front, Durant hasn’t played in an NBA game since long before the league’s suspension. He was injured during the last season’s NBA finals while playing for Golden State Warriors, The major injury led to Durant being out of action for a long time.

Kevin Durant will have high ambitions with Brooklyn Nets

After playing for the Warriors for three seasons, Durant moved to Brooklyn Nets last summer. While playing in a star-studded Warriors lineup, Durant was close to achieving a three-peat.

He won the titles in his first two seasons and he was also the Finals MVP on both occasions. An injury to Durant in the last season meant that he couldn’t lead his team to a three-peat as the Warriors lost to Toronto Raptors.

While he is yet to appear for the Nets this season, there have been talks of whether he could be back with a delayed end to the season. While signing Durant last summer, the Nets also signed Kyrie Irving to strengthen the roster. When fully fit, the Nets look like a team of Championship pedigree. And that is what Durant will be aiming for- win Championships.

Durant is often regarded among the best players in the NBA and winning more titles will only help the cause.
