Los Angeles Lakers have announced two positive cases for the COVID-19 on Thursday.

Not long ago, the Nets had announced three of their players, including Kevin Durant, tested positive for coronavirus. This led to the officials asking the Lakers players to undergo a test for the virus. The decision came as the Nets had last played the Lakers prior to the NBA‘s suspension.

After 14 of their 17 players underwent the test, the Lakers confirmed in a statement that two of their players tested positive.

“Following four Brooklyn Nets players testing positive for Covid-19, because Los Angeles Lakers’ players were exposed to them during our game against the Nets on March 10, our team physicians and public health officials recommended coronavirus testing for the players,” the statement on Thursday read.
“We learned today that two Lakers players have tested positive.
The Lakers, however, said that neither of the players showed symptoms. Also, the Lakers have advised their players to stay in self-quarantine.

“Both players are currently asymptomatic, in quarantine and under the care of the team’s physician,” the statement read.
