The Los Angeles Lakers had a chance to win the NBA championship in Game 5. Unfortunately, they couldn’t seize the opportunity, leaving the celebrations hanging for another day. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the fans gathered around restaurants to support their team.

The Lakers were right on the tail of the Miami Heat the entire game. Moreover, they even cut the lead to a single point on several occasions. However, following a blunder committed by Danny Green, all the efforts went to vain.

Most fans were left speechless after this close defeat, but there was something to celebrate for them. Superstar LeBron James had a terrific game and finished with 40 points, It led to fans holding poster of LBJ and late legend Kobe Bryant side by side.

The Lakers still have a one game lead and can finish the heat off in the next game. If they lose once again, the fans will be left heartbroken.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis were phenomenal in Game 5, there are no doubts in that. However, the problem was L.A.’s supporting cast. Apart from KCP, no other player crossed double figures.

Moving forward, the bench needs to step up and support the two superstars. In defense of Green in the dying minutes, he was overwhelmed with the pressure. However, knowing The Lakeshow, they should be able to make a stunning comeback in the next game.

But the Heat have already proved that they are a dangerous team. If the Lakers want to prevent an upset, they should make a blazing start in the next game. Also, stopping Jimmy Butler remains the biggest hurdle between championship #17 for LA.

Can the purple and gold win it all in Game 6 or will the Heat tie the series 3 games apiece? We will find out on Sunday night.
