Finishing just two steps away from the title, the Miami Heat will be among the favorite contenders, entering next season. They will leave no stone unturned this time and will focus on finding a star that can support Jimmy Butler on the floor. Can that someone be Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo?

The Heat kicked out the Milwaukee Bucks within 5 games in the Eastern Conference semifinals last season. And now, they are going after the Bucks’ best player. The fate of the ‘Greek Freak’ has been a mystery so far. Even though he has persisted that he won’t be leaving the Bucks, rumors of him wanting to opt-out continue to make rounds.

After another disappointing season, the Bucks will need to build a championship roster around their star. Although they have failed to do this so far, it is the best way to tempt their best player to stay. But is it too late now? Is Giannis looking at signing a deal with the Miami Heat?

Refusing to go to Warriors- Giannis wants Miami Heat?

As per Ashley Nicole, Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready to sign a long-term deal with the Heat. Since Giannis will enter free agency in 2021, the deal might occur before that because the Bucks don’t want to end up empty-handed.

If the Bucks do not fulfill Giannis’ expectations, there is no stopping him from weighing his options. Nicole also said that the Golden State Warriors also want the superstar. They are willing to offer a package that contains Andrew Wiggins, but Giannis has shown no interest so far.

This could only go two ways. Either Giannis will readily sign his extension with the Bucks, crushing every franchise’s dreams of acquiring him. But if he doesn’t, this makes everything very interesting. But there is one problem. Who will the Heat part with if they sign him?

Here is when Bam Adebayo comes into the picture. If the Heat wants to maintain some flexibility salary-wise, in order to bring in Giannis, it might mean that they will hit pause on offering the All-Star center his maximum rookie extension. The Heat’s decision here will show whom they want in their roster more.

Do you think it’s in the best interest for Giannis to sign with Miami Heat and improve his chances of winning a title? Or should he wait on the Bucks to build a better team that he can lead?
